Jerry Bridges was appointed as Chairman of the Institute\u2019s North America Chapter at a dinner held in conjunction with the 2011 TPM conference in Long Beach, CA. The Institute\u2019s North American Chapter dinner brought together thought leaders from all over the world to meet with their colleagues in the American logistics industry.<\/h6>\n<\/div>\n

The North American Chapter of the Institute provides a forum through which North American shippers, 3PLs, carriers, port authorities and terminal operators can share knowledge to improve supply chain efficiency and security.
\nBIOGRAPHY<\/strong>
\nJerry Bridges became the Port of Virginia\u2019s Executive Director in 2007. Mr. Bridges is responsible for the broad programmatic areas of marketing, development, finance and promotion of Virginia\u2019s marine terminal facilities located in the Hampton Roads harbor \u2013 Newport News Marine Terminal, Norfolk International Terminals, and Portsmouth Marine Terminal \u2013 and the Virginia Inland Terminal located in Warren County, Virginia. Prior to Mr. Bridges\u2019 arrival at the VPA, he served as Executive Director of the Port of Oakland since June 2004. In addition, Mr. Bridges has held various operating positions with Sea Land Services and Roadway Express.
